Hi,

I Just bought an LG RH7624W DVD recorder.I Have a sony plasma Tv, and a yamaha surround system.

I have no idea how to connect all these things up, my previous dvd was fine because I didnt have to worry about recieving a signal from dstv. I currently have my dstv connected through the yamaha system, and It doesnt look like there is any more outs on the decoder to plug into the dvd recorder. Unless I use the dual view ones?

If anyone could offer some advice coz the manual isnt helping.
Thanks

Not sure if this will help, but I've placed mine in between the decoder and my tv/amp. I have a stereo only valve amp, so I don't have any video plugs on it. So, in short, audio and video goes from the decoder to the DVD recorder, from there it splits, video to tv, and audio to amp.

You will probably have everything going to DVD recorder, and from there to your AV amp.

Disadvantage is that your DVD recorder must be switched on in order to watch tv, but then again thats why you have it (pausing live tv, etc).

Just think of what the logical path is for each component of your system, and that should help you to figure out how to set it up.

Hope it helped a bit :)
