Hi

When connecting to the net via a 6230i should the configuration settings on the phone be MTN-GPRS or MTN-DATA. I mean if i want to make use of EDGE (which the 6230i apparently does have)

Also, how will i be able to see what speed i am connected at?

thanks in advance.

It depends what configurations are under MTN-GPRS or MTN-DATA. Those are just names that your phone uses as place holders and it is not used during connction at all.

typical settings are:
APN: myMTN
user: mtnwap
password: [blank]
proxy: enabled
primary proxy: 196.11.240.251:8080

The easiest way to check your connection speed is to download something off the internet. You would then see the connction speed in the download window.

alternitivlt log onto the nokia web site and select your phone and then select software and then settings and then choose the settings you want and enter your cell number and it will be sent to your phone.
