Configurattion help needed

I have AVR 8000 ADSL 2 router and cannot connect to the internet. I entered my VPI / VCI for Virgin and can ping the router but the dagnostic says the ATM link is down. Lost now

Hi Pickygame

We don't have Virgin ADSL[2+] in South Africa and I personally haven't ever heard of the make & model of router you have there, there is probably an ADSL or DSL led on the router that is either flashing intermittently or constantly lit, or completely dead...

What does the Virgin ADSL helpdesk say?
