Confirmation on Cable Connection

Please confirm what cables you recommend for connecting HD Amplifier, LCD TV, Blue Ray DVD player etc.
Is Monster cable, flex cable, mm size, etc. the recommendation.
Any advice on preferred connection method will be appreciated.

HDMI?

There was a thread a while back re the different types of HDMI used - should it be the cheap or expensive ones. Consensus seemed to be that they are all pretty much the same - the difference between a R120 HDMI vs a R400 HDMI was negligable...

negligable?.. its a digital signal.. its either the same or it doesn't work pretty much

My boss paid R800 for an hdmi cable to his Sony TV, when the TV went "poof" two weeks after purchase, TV was replaced but still did not work, no signal from AMP - they then replaced the cable with an Ellies R150 and it worked, took the R800 cable back

Just don't go too cheap. That would be bad.

It makes NO difference... if your TV gets the signal through the HDMI cable, then cheap will be the SAME as expensive... its a digital signal.
