Confusing online store problem - shopping cart problem

I am originally from the USA so I generally always fall back on doing everything in the USA. I now live in South Africa (and loving it , btw!)

I wanted to open an online store for my business that I have started so I registered with shoppepro since shoppepro had some beautiful designers for templates..

i am in LOVE with the site they designed but here comes the problem.....
paypal.... Paypal would not accept payments in rands and I am going to be selling my items ONLY in south africa... I dont think that I should have to deal with currency conversions. If I just stick to paypal(with FNB) i will be subjected to a currency conversion.
I want to set up a credit card service for my website.
The current shopping cart from ShoppePro is linked to the free MALS cart. (mals is linked to paypal as well as a whole load of other people). I am unsure whether shoppepro can be used without Mals. I like the mals service though and am unsure how to go on using it. I wanted to sign up with virtualcardservice for my credit card transactions online... and was hoping i could link mals to that but i really dont know how a credit card payment gateway works in the first place.

I'm in a sorta mess here because I have signed up for a year at shoppe pro and it seems I may not be able to use it...

Only way is if you do the conversion on the fly, but you're using prebought/hosted software as far as I can see.

Not sure if any of the hosts will be able to help further (they usually deal with loads of more clients than I on this subject as I usually do custom written software)

First of all, I see they have a 30 day money-back guarantee, so if you want to you can use that.

To answer your question, VCS is not supported. However, BigCommerce does - out of the box. You may want to move your shop to them if you insist on using VCS. Alternatively, you may want to consider 2Checkout - they are happy to work in ZAR.
