I would just like to take a moment to congratulate the ISP's that really made a difference this year, namely:

Webafrica
SAOL
Axxess (yes, they were one of the first to provide us with cheap pricing)
Openweb (currently the cheapest)
Allyoucaneat (The first 30gb dudes, and their bravery in taking on Telcum)

You guys are slowly but surely helping broadband in South Africa become what it should be!!

Well Done!! Keep it up guys!

Thanks for all the effort and late nights may you and your family's have a blessed christmas and new year.

WEBAFRICA
OPENWEB
AXXESS
TELKOMINTERNET

TelkomInternet

What for screwing everyone except their own customers !

I can't bear to speak to another telkom employee so I moved.

I now get one of my employees to hold the phone while on hold so I don't have to listen to that dreadfull music. ( Yes, I know this is cruel )

WA & hetzner for the win !

Telkom screws everyone, not TelkomInternet.

Two months of uncapped ADSL is great service!

Only to steal customers away from ISP's trying to make an honest living!

Please dont tell me you think theyre different companies.

Well all I can say is I have been paying alot of money to these ISP's since the 30gig accounts was scrapped and so far telkominternet is the best value for money sad but true.

Well I am sure the "ISP" part of Telkom don't determine pricing for all the telecommunications services.

Agreed. Ive done 25 gigs on my Telkom account so far, which would of cost me R1050 if i had stayed with SAOL.
Its up to the ISP s to fight Telkom for unfair practices (although ill be submitting something to ICASA, hopefully that will help their case) and if and when they win Ill be back in a flash. But in the mean time Im thinking of my bank account. Sorry.

It seems to me that Telkoms rather obvious tactics have got you snowed.
It doesnt matter who in Telkom does what if at the end of the day what they do amounts to anti- competitive behaviour.
Telkom = Telkominternet = SAIX

Who cares - I get great service from TelkomInternet.. :)
Try and do two transactions with Telkom at the same time and that includes TelkomInternet. They won't start another transaction until the first one is finished and sometimes a transaction can take a really long time.

Cheers
