Connec Wireless Rustenburg

Hi, does anyone have Connec Wireless in Rustenburg. Our area currently does not have Fibre, ADSL and our LTE signal is what i would call pathetic. So we opted for Connec Wireless as we do not have LOS to a Screamer tower.

I was wondering if distance would affect the wireless internet signal, we have a very clear LOS to a tower about 6km away.

Also I read up on BitCo, but they don't have offices in Rustenburg and installation lead time of 2-6 weeks. It also looks like they are either scamming or misleading customers by adding VAT to invoices although their T&C says VAT is included in the price already.

Distance does not make a big difference with clear LOS. 6km with clear LOS is no problem.

Don't know the WISP, so can't comment there (not that another WISP should anyways).

Rather dive around your area to look for other homes/businesses with wireless radios on their roofs and ask them who they use and if they are happy. This way you should choose a trusted provider.

We got referred to Connec by work friends which use it at home, they're very happy with the service. I don't think Connec has a very large customer base, so im hoping for the best
