Connect N8 to Cell C speedstick

Hey Guys
Can you guys tell me if it is at all possible to connect a nokia N8 via wifi to the E1820 while it(E1820) is connected to the internet? Tried searching in connectivity, all that comes up other(hidden network)...maybe coz my sim in the cell phone is mtn and the speed stick is cell c?
Any help is appreciated....

Which OS? For Windows 7, you can set up an ad-hoc connection to your computer, and then try and have the phone connect to it.

^ otherwise you'll need a wifi router connected via ethernet to the PC with Internet Connection Sharing turned on for the Modem.

Yeah its windows 7 64 bit. I tried that troubleshoot Mike, but it still doesnt pick it up. Or it does pick up a wlan, but when i try to connect to it it asks for a pre-shared key? No idea what that is...

does it need to be via wifi? cos you can just put the cellc sim in your nokia n8...

Your router security is set up so that you need a key to gain access or else everybody will just connect to your wi-fi and download the internet.

Wifi should work pretty easily. Just set up a connection form your PC and connect the phone to it.

I know Cell C have a special router that you stick the speedstick into, and it allows wireless connectivity to 5 devices. Check in the Cell C section

Well , if you have an extra phone that can do HSDPA you can use this in conjunction with Joikospot to make a wireless hotspot to use with the N8. this way you can keep your normal sim in the N8
