Connect smart phone to PC internet?

Hi. I'm trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy S2 to my PC's internet connection using my phones WiFi capabilities. I'm on Windows 7 64bit.

I connect to the internet on my PC using the Cell C MF668 USB Speed Stick.
I have a D-link DWA-547 Rangebooster N650 Desktop Adapter. I don't have a router.

Is what I am trying to do even possible with the hardware that I have? Is that ap00300A707E60 wireless connection someone elses wireless connection from another flat in my building? I downloaded a free program called Virtual Router and now I have a new wireless connection that wont go away. I've uninstalled the program and it's driver but they keep popping back up. Any help would be much appreciated because I know very little about home networking.

Hi there,
What you want to do is to have the PC connection host the wireless SSID. It looks like the D-link you have is a slave and not a master so you would not be able to use it to host the connection.
I suspect that the AP003 connection is in someone else's environment. TO prove it turn off the PC and then scan for wireless network on the Galaxy. If it picks up the AP003 again then it is not your adapter.

Then you wont need your pc to be on for other devices to connect.

They used to have a special for mybroadband members, so search the forums to try find the "voucher" code.

I do this on my notebook.
Wireless on the notebook runs as an access point to which my mobile devices connect.
I used to issue a command via a batch file to start the WAP at windows start, but lately I just use Connectify.
