Hi, this will sound stupid to some of you but I am looking for help to connect my router to my WD Live box near my tv. Have tried to link them via wifi but no luck. The cable run would be about 30 m through the attic between the two adjoins rooms. What cabling do you suggest and where can I buy it in PE?
I can pick up the router with my iPad and laptop but no look with the TV box talking to the router. If anyone wants to PM me that will be just fine.

Not sure why your IPad etc would pick up the wireless but not the WD - is it possible that it's just too far to connect?

In terms of cable, I would use CAT6 unshielded, unless you're running it alongside other cabling in which case you may find it beneficial to use shielded CAT6.

Unfortunately I have no idea re: outlets in PE.

Hi There,
I would use Cat6 shielded cable whether there are power cables there or not currently. Electricians are great at just ignoring other cables and running power where they want to. This is going to give you the best and most consistent interface and performance.
Tenda's are OK but not as good as cable.

Regards

Tim
