Connected but connection seems dead?

Hi all, I'm connected with virgin, but the connection seems as if it's dead. Not even a email can be send. If I click on the connection status icon, where it gives the sent and received data, that also tells me that the connection is dead. I bit are sent, but the received side is dead. I reconnected about 5 times, but that dont work either. Whatcan it be, or is it just virgin's worthless internet?

Nope, but that's what I like to call it though. I also used to get it very often with VM. But when all was well (the scarce good days), the speeds on VM was Great!

My 384k ADSL replaced my VM connection. :)
 
lol...Virgin and speed in the same sentence, ok thats just crazy.pmpl

Once again vm proves just how pathetic they are, that also happened
to me all the time when i was on vm, almost every night during peak hour
online traffic. I think thats the only thing vm is constant with, there down time.lol
 
What I just cant understand is why doesnt vm do anything about it? It is in their power to improve it, because the problem isnt at the towers, its at their side.

Thats just how virgin are , they dont give a flying F**K about
there customers. As long as people keep prepaying them in advance
they just couldnt care less. I battled with them from day 1 when
they started up till 3months ago. Now im back with vodacom and
happier than ever before.
 
Yes virgin has very good download speeds, it beats my dialup anyday, but it has these times where it doesnt work at all. It sucks that i have to stick with them for internet, but they are offering edge for the lowest prices at the moment.
 
Thats my problem too, I cant afford descent broadband, so the next option is Virgin. Just a pity they dont give a damn about their customers.
