Connected but not connected

Hi guys,

I've got a bit weird problem with a family members adsl. The router connects to the ISP(Telkom*spit*) but when I ping any host name it resolves the IP but I'm not getting any ping replys.

I've tried pinging local and international sites, same result.
I've tried using a different account(an IS account), same problem.
Disabled the firewall, no luck.

...
and out of desperation I phoned *correction* trieded to phone telkom but all I got holding music.

Do any of you know what might be the problem.

ps. its a mega 105 wr router

I had the same problem with Netgear. Is shows connected but could not browse anything. Even with different IS/SAIX accounts.

Had to do a hard reset , there is a small reset button on the Netgear. (switching it off doesn't work).

Hmm, looks like my solution didn't work btw if TelkomUseless's solution doesn't work, go borrow a router at my old place - I doubt they still use it
