i have a nomal billion router (not one with the aerial). my wife wants to sit in another room with her laptop and be on the net, so we are thinking of buying another Lan cable and just running it through the house or is there something else i can get to set up this network.

i cannot afford the R800 for the other router.

If you know where to look you can get LAN cables for around R3-R4 per meter (with a normal Rand value).

You see, this pisses me off!! Why the hell do they increase the price of current stock in SA when the rand weakens against the dollar?!? Money making racket is all it is!

Sorry for the hijack :o

Because over six weeks ago the Rand started losing value... (most import cycles work in six week cycles)

i get my stuff from matrix warehouse here down the road from me and was chaged R28.00 for 2 metres of Lan cable.

I bought a pre-made 5m cable from a shop and paid R25 for it (decent price for pre-made since it has connections included). But R14/m is almost competition for Incredible Corruption!

Sorry Wayne, I'm with iburst and they completely fell over today, bastards!

Yes, you will need a usb/wifi or pcmcia/wifi card to connect the laptop, as the laptop you have does not have a wireless card it seems, they list it as being wifi ready, but the actual minipci card is a optional extra, use the cable for now. :D

OT. That moon landing program is on now.
