connecting ADSL modem to router

Hi,

I've signed up for ADSL. I already own a non-ADSL wireless router. And therefore need to buy an ADSL modem.

Will it be possible to buy an ADSL modem/router that will connect to my wireless router?

What product do you recommend. Can you get and would an ADSL access point do the trick when connected to my wireless router?

Hope this makes sense to you because I need to get this right in order to prevent spending too much money!

Sure you can connect an ADSL router to your wireless AP, all you need is a spare port on your wireless router and then you run a cable to your ADSL router. Very correct assumption.
Afraid I can't recommend a brand, I'm sure someone will be kind enough to do so.
Your wireless router will then use your ADSL router as the gateway and everyone on the wireless can have ADSL! And very little to configure, almost automatic.

You can do what you're suggesting, provided the modem you get is an ethernet capable modem, not a USB modem.

I got a DLink DSL-300T modem, configured it on my PC first by setting it to bridge mode, then plugged it into the broadband port on my DLink DI-724P+ broadband router and configured the router with the ADSL logon details.

One catch: though the DSL-300T does have DHCP, it isn't enabled by default. So set up your PC with a fixed address of 192.168.1.2, then connect to the 300T and enable bridge mode. Then connect to ADSL like that (using it as a bridge-mode modem with dial-up connction) to make sure that it works, then hook it up to the router.
