Depending on your setup you won't need to put your router in bridgemode. Simply connect the router to the hub. Your D-link would have its own ip address. Your manual will give you the factory setting which you can type in your browser address bar. This will give you a login screen. Again, the manual will give you the default factory details. Remember, you need to be in the same subnet to be able to access the router. If you use DHCP on your network, simply give your router an ip-address within your network range. If your pc's are set up for DHCP they will identify the gateway automatically. If you use fixed ip-addresses, you need to enter the router's ip-address as the gateway.
The advantage of the routing mode is that you will be protected by the NAT system in your router, effectively blocking all ports.
I prefer using something like Smoothwall which is great as a firewall and a lot more flexible than most routers. But get your system going first, you can worry about things like that later.
