Connecting Bluetooth speakers to TV?

I'm thinking of getting some bluetooth speakers to use like a sort of "surround sound" system but my TV doesn't support Bluetooth.. Although I've heard of a Transmitter. Would that work?
 
Also, I have an android box with av/optical and an old surround system which has wired speakers. Any way to connect them?
