I got 5.1 creative speakers from my wife for anniversary, and it seems like a waste to bury the 2.1 creative speakers in my closet because they make damn good speakers

so i connected them to my tv by connecting rca out to earphone plug via isolation tape, but there is a white noise when the volume is at zero... why is that?

Poor shielding is probably the main cause.
Your best bet is to pick up a RCA to 3.5 ml mini-jack converter cable from any electrical / audio shop. They sell for R20 - R50 depending on length.

Even better would be to solder the speaker wires directly to the RCA connectors. This would reduce the signal loss further.

I have to mind one of these things to use the RCA output from my xbox with some speakers
