Hi guys.

My question today is would it be possible for me to connect from my home(dsl192) to my work (dsl512).I want to do this to be able to browse and download as the connection at work is uncapped unshaped, and my home connection is 3gb capped and shaped to death! Also will i be able to connect to the my works (dsl512) network after my capp is reached!I would probably be using vpn i reckoned, any suggestions?

Just make sure that this is okay with the company and you are not doing it on the "sly" as you might just get fired.

Very good point, I can't believe I forgot to put that in.

Also, you need to check legislation and ICASA regulations, but I do believe your company will also need a PTN or VANS license for this to be fully legal ...

For merely operating a VPN ???.
As long as you are not carrying or routing voice traffic then it is perfectly legal.

Thanks guys!
Yep i am sure it's fine with work because I actually have to do work as well! And have to be on the network and i think we are a vasp seeing as we have a lot of clients connecting to us via saix ether using dialup or via vpn, I just wanted to know if i would be able to surf and such after my cap especially seeing as I am with SAIX and at work it's IS?

the VPN will work fine, but once the Nov 1 hard caps kick in, if you capped at home you wan't even be able to connect to the office
