connecting my front usb ports

so i never got around to connecting my 2 front usb ports well due to not knowing how to.

so if someone can please assist me

my mobo: gigabyte G31M-ES2C

the case has 2 sets of small cables that are connected to the usb slot, there are only 4 small wires marked (white = port -, red = VCC, black = ground and green = port +) on each cable

so if someone can please tell me how to connect it so that the front usb's work

i'm thinking it goes where the mobo states F USB1 and F USB2, but each of those has 8pins

Yes F USB 1 and 2 should work. Have a look at your motherboard manual, it should show you exactly where the pins should go.

Both your cables sets can go to just the one > F/USB1

So, connect VCC to (1), port- to (3), port+ to (5), ground to (7), ......etc.

the manual doesn' actually state where the cables should go...
