Anyone got any experience or advice on connecting a Mettler Toledo printing scale to a laptop.
The idea is to add/ edit PLU’s via the laptop and not directly on the scale. The scale’s SPCT program as well as VisEdit is already installed on the laptop. There is an ordinary Ethernet cable supplied with the scale. I presume that I am supposed to create a network between the laptop & the scale. The scale’s user handbook describes how to input an IP address, NET MASK address etc into the scale but this is where I get lost.
I am a total beginner when it comes to networks so please speak slowly. Don’t advise me to ask the scale’s agent, looks like he is as clever with these things as I am.
