Connecting to online games

Hi guys,

I'm having trouble connecting to online gaming and don't know what the cause is. (Specifically HoN, but couldn't connect with GTA4 either)

I've disabled my windows firewall. I can't see that AVG has a firewall. Could it be my router that is blocking the connection?

Does it give you an error when you connect? And what games we talking about?

I play DotA with no problems. Heroes of Newert just "hangs" - it doesn't allow me to click any of the button for the online functionality.

When registering my account - it doesn't connect to check availability of the nickname.

EDIT: Hold the horses - it is busy updating now.

Are you sure that all your games that you're trying to play online is patched to their latest versions?

No worries - HoN sorted. Not too bothered about GTA4. Thanks for the help though
