Get a prepaid international bandwidth and use Route Sentry with your local bandwidth. Route Sentry is working wonders for me man, I can't live without it. You just use international connection to login with your battlefield nick and the local connection to play on the local server.

You can even use GPRS on your phone for international connection. I tried it too, works wonders! Just get Route Sentry.

Hi Blackguy, I have seen you having fun on BF2. I try to spend some time there every night but my international bandwidth gets wacked in no time. I see you seem to have sorted your Route Sentry out and would appreciate your help with the Raspppoe setup. This is what I posted on another thread:

Hi Guys, I am trying without success to setup Raspppoe before installing Route Sentry. I have tried following the Raspppoe instructions but unfortunately don't have a Computer Science Degree - any help will be appreciated, thanks.

In my Local Area Connection (using NvidianForce NW Controller), I have un-ticked the following boxes:
Client for Microsoft Networks
File & Printer Sharing for MS Networks
QoS Packet Scheduler
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

and then select install, browse & select the PPP over Ethernet Protocol driver. I then get the following message "Could not add the requested component. The error is 0x800700C1"

My modem is Netgear632 and have one PC and a Laptop connected via LAN network. The PC only really requires the Route Sentry so that BF2 can be played on the local bandwith. I have a 348 Telkom 3g account with 30g local.

Cheers

dude, you dont need to untick anything, bring up your LAN properties, right click on the internet protocol, then click the install button, choose to install a protocol, click the have disk button, choose one of the Rassoppe INI files (doesn't matter which one) install it, ignore the warning that pops up. then click start run, type in rasopppoe and then click Query available services. and then you should have another connection on your desktop, punch in you local account details and click connect, should connect no problem, disconnect this account, start up routesentry select which connections you want to use for your international and for your local, and routesentry should automatically connect the accounts, once thats running then you're a for away. PS your router must be in bridged mode otherwise this wont work
