connecting to telkom mobile

so one IT novice with an interesting connection problem. bought a 8ta sim card for my huawei wireless device, installed and got it working etc. got the laptop & desktop sorted but for some reason it won't allow me to connect my SGS2? my mtn contract expired and I moved to prepaid.

I can see the device on the SGS2, but it asks for a password which is the same one I use on the other 2 computers, even after typing in the password it still does not allow me to connect. the "connect" button remains greyed out?

is this maybe because the phone is networked locked? or is there another reason causing this problem?

Good cause can be network locked. Happened to me in the past. But you can usually work around those.
