hi there,

I have spent HOURS trying to connect with vodacom 3g. the sad thing is i did manage so I know it works but when I tried to register a gametag MS came back saying problem and try again later. since then I have tried SO much and failed. tearing my hair out!! when running the test just cant get past ip address, always fails........

any one have a detailed step by step guide and what every setting should be on?

Ive read all the guides and forums and they answer certain questions but not everything and not enough for me to be successfull.
PS. I posted this on xbox-360.co.za but the responce was dismal.

noone no? strange as if i didnet get it to work briefly I would doubt it was even possible.

You don't give much info, such as which OS you using and what router you have etc, so I gather you have setup your network using ICS?

Have you read the following setup, which amongst other things, says you also need to disable firewall:

http://unrouted.co.uk/2007/11/05/3ghsdpa-xbox-livewii-online/

and then if you need information on how to setup your ICS network:

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/

and then this dude solved his issues by updating the firmware on his 3g card and router:

im using windows xp. Router? the modem is the E220 Huwie from vodacom.

Live has been down most of the day, so today wasn't a good day to try things. You need to check that you have the latest drivers for your router and modem, make sure ICS is setup correctly, disable any firewalls and you should be connecting fine - except for a day like today, even with ADSL, just not working
