I've got an ADSL router (Netgear DGN2000) that is N standard compliant. I want to hook that up to a Sony Bravia Flatscreen in another room. Sony wants 1.5k for a wifi dongle for the flatscreen.
The Bravia has a 100mbps ethernet port too so I'm thinking of buying some sort of wifi device & plugging it into the ethernet & jumping to the router via wifi from there.
I need some advice on what the mystery device is that goes into the middle. Wifi Bridge? Accesspoint? Extender?
All the N standard access points I see are close to 1.5k anyway, so is this plan even feasible?
And a pic in case my description isn't as clear as I think it is:
