Hi Guys,

Any feed back recently on Connecton.co.za's 4Mbps home adsl accounts?

I am really thinking of switching to them soonish and would like to get some feedback from users!
 
I had one for a couple months, I paid for 4mb but actually got 10mb speed. Worked great, they use the star system so you can see when you are heading to be shaped.

This is one of the reasons why I want it. I know this happens on IS accounts a lot, used to be like this when Axxess was on IS's network. But since them changing to MTN I haven't been able to find something that purely runs on IS anymore. There is Webafrica, but they have their own IPC issues and so on. As far as I remember this never happened with IS accounts

Just remember if you are paying for a home account don't expect it to perform like a business account. So save your downloads for after hours.
 
Direct IS resold accounts are unthrottled from 5pm during the week and from 5pm Friday to +-8am on Monday no matter your star rating.

That said if your star rating is anything less than 3 stars peak time data speed will most likely be very bad.
