hi everyone

my cousin bought the cell c data package 1500 for 2gb per month from games

he lives in boksburg and everytime a plane flys over their area( not directly over the house) , the connection gets cut?
why would this happen?
is there anything he can do about it?or return it?

I don't have an explanation, it's bizarre, but very interesting as I literally watched my signal gradually drop from -75 dBm to nothing yesterday as the thunderstorm increased in intensity.

I will definitely watch my signal to see if I can spot any anomalies when planes fly over.

or could it be the usb power issue? or a faulty usb modem?

Maybe he should pretend it's a shooting star and make a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now (for a stable connection).

what do you mean by nothing? signal below about 110dBm should kill off HS anything closer to 0 should make it awesome.

thunderstorms generally only interfere with the microwave hops from tower to tower.

I meant the signal indicator eventually showed <-113dBm.

If you listen to an AM radio broadcast (amplitude modulation) during lightning you can hear the lightning interfere with the broadcast. Lightning produces wide-band interference. Maybe it also interferes then with HSDPA and HSPA+ transmissions at 900 MHz.

I hear lazer pointers can bring down planes? Try it, see if it fixes his problem.

DUde how high up are you!
Thou no such thing happens for me,i get planes sometimes at night (SIA) my connection doesnt drop

My guess is thats a test programe and was not a public plane.Someone took it for a fly
