Anyone experiencing issues with very very slow connection in the last couple days? Kyalami area!

Working fine until now. Signal strenght is good, but speeds pathetic. 80kbps! or pages time out. Disconnect and reconnect and it works for while and then gone again.

Anyone?
CellCRep?

If you're in Sunninghill, there is currently a problem (high latency & packet loss) with Tower 12201 (problems started on Friday).

yep friend in sunninghill had only edge coverage yesterday

I think these problems are actually nationwide. I logged a complaint last week and blah blah, got the usual "escalated" chat. I wish these people knew what they were talking about. Packetloss and pages timing out? Yep, pretty much nationwide.

I also have these packet loss and page time out issues in halfway house since new year. I have logged a call and waiting for response.

I have major issues on and off - the light stays on (light blue), but I am unable to send/receive any data! I have to reconnect, but then after a minute or two it "freezes"

Well, you're probably right, and WierdaPark Centurion has been ****e since Thursday evening (only one page opened in more than 6 hours over the weekend, and that took 5min). I took my black dongle in to the CellC shop (about 1.5km from my home) to test, and would you believe, it worked perfectly. Took the thing to my folks house in Irene, edge only, and that was unreliable (disconnecting regularly).... Not happy. Emailed them on Saturday too, no response.

Incidentally, at my own house, the network always showed as good to great. Just nothing happens.

Ok at least its not just me....Randburg here, been having issues since Friday afternoon as well. Seemed semi decent on the weekend and then crap again today.

Much further afield, I've also been having connection problems the entire weekend from the Rustenburg area. Also difficulty in accessing the Cell C SMTP outgoing mail server.

Having problem connecting to Vodacom GPRS roaming. I can connect fine with the Vodacom sim, but get an error when I try CellC.

Had this problem 2 days ago, now since last nite it just wont connect at all!!!

No internet, no hsdpa - all gone, wtf have CellC done!!!

The experience was OK until now :(

Having the exact issue since the beginning of the year. Its usually on and off. Previously I could only access the cell c website, now it freezes with the blue light. Initially I thought it was my router now I'm glad I'm not the only one¡ I'm in the noordwyk area very close to vodaworld

Me too. West Rand.
Very bad since yesterday. Is the network getting overloaded already?? Damn!!!

the strange thing is, my cellphone (cell c contract sim - not data sim) is permanently connected to the internet (facebook, whats app, twitter, ms exchange and gmail push emails and the speeds are blazingly fast with no disconnects or any issues at all. signal levels on my cell phone is also great! Generally when the cell c modem freezes with problem above, internet on my phone works fine, how is that possible?

im starting to believe that most of our modems could be culprits rather than the network / towers? obviously we are all guinea pigs with this new service and only matter of time before they start resolving these frustrating issues....what do you guys think?
