Connection on hold...

Hi there, probably not the right place but you guys know your stuff...

Ever since i changed up from a Nokia 6600 to my N95, i've been having an annoying issue where i'll be connected via gprs / 3G and browsing... and in the middle of my session i get an sms or a call and the data connection is put on hold...

now that's normal, and what's supposed to happen is when the sms is delivered or the call is over, the connection should automagically resume... now I'd say about 7/10 times it does... but every now and then... it just stays on hold forever...

any ideas why?

I've had the same with my N95, but only when connected to GPRS ... sometimes it resumes quite quickly, other times it just sits there. I press the red button a couple of times, and refresh a page to push data through ... that normally works for me.

I think the the N95 doesn't realise that the call is finished and data can resume. Requesting data to go trough makes it check again on the call status, and realises it is done, resuming the connection

Was there not some major firmware update for the N95? I even saw an SMS from Vodacom about that a week or two ago.

Running on the latest firmware at the moment and it's still happening... thanks for the tip LandyMan
