Hi folks, I hope someone on the forum can help.
I have been using a prepaid SIM and data bundle in my 6680, for a while. This morning, out of the blue, I began having problems.
I can "connect", in that I go through the process of verifying user name etc, and I get a message saying "connected", but any page I try to load fails, same with checking mail, I get a message saying "failed to connect".

I've tried switching off phone, no difference; re-booting computer, not difference; even re-installing phone drivers, no difference.

HOWEVER if I switch to a Vodacom SIM it works fine, all the pages load etc (in fact that's how I'm connecting now.)

What truly confuses me is that it was working fine on the MTN SIM until mid-morning...

Incidentally, and I REALLY HOPE that an MTN rep reads this, I tried phoning the help-line, I hung on for FORTY minutes listening to the same stupid whistling jingle and message saying "all our agents are busy" before I just couldn't cope with it any more and hung up - COME ON!!!!!, MTN, that's ridiculous - employ more staff in your call centres or tell them to catch a wake up and not just ignoe incoming calls!!!
Hoping someone can help...

Ok, I've checked on my phone and the settings all seem to indicate "internet"; swapped SIM's again, still no data flowing...
Any other suggestions, please?
Particularly since I am now chewing up data at R2 per Meg on the Vodacom SIM, I really need to get this resolved fast...

Thanks..

ok, try using the mymtn apn then. alternatively, if you log onto the apn using a username and password that mtnbb can supply you with, you will get a public IP...
