Hi,

I've posted about this before but I'm still having the same issue. Perhaps somebody can help.

I used to have ADSL connected through a Linksys Internet Gateway/Router/Switch/Modem (WAG300N). I managed to share the internet connection without any problems.

I've since moved to vodacom3g and would like to share the connection between the 2 PCs. Both PCs see each other on the network and can access shared files and external drives via the Linksys device. (Note: The Linksys is also acting as a wireless connection to a Pinnacle streamer using a static ip - 192.168.0.1 - when i have tried to assign this address for use with the internet connection, even the file sharing stops.) There appears to be some form of additional information exchange as both computers have an 'Internet connection gateway' which is sending and receiving packets. I still cant seem to connect to the net though.

From here I'm a bit stumped. I have tried various step by step guides, but still dont seem to be able to get this up and running.

Any ideas?

Absolutley fantastic! Thank you so much! :)

Does anyone that uses this program, use mIRC at all? The PC that connects via the proxy doesn't seem able to connect to any IRC servers? What protocol does mIRC use?

Thanks

dood

save some hassles and get a 3g router .. same as ur adsl cept its 3g

You can try to use the socks4 or socks5 proxy with mIRC (if your proxy supports socks4/5).

I've played around with the settings on this but no joy. Any other ideas?

Ive also heard that FreeProxy could work and have downloaded it but dont even know where to begin in terms of configuration!

dabouncer - do you know if the 2nd PC is limited in the amount of bandwidth? It's alot slower than the 1st (primary with internet/proxy installed)

Well i use to use CCProxy for 3g sharing but now that im sharing adsl over wifi i dont ne more. Easy to use and setup and supports socks 4/5 on port 1080. can also limit traffic for certain pc's if you want to do that.

3G router? hmmm bit pricy if u compare it to downloading a proxy server for free.
