Connection to server keeps getting reset

Ok, I managed to download a 80mb music file from beatport.com(secure site) last December, and since the new software upgrade, the server keeps getting reset after about an hour of the download. I'm using Edge, so the download will take more than an hour. And when I get this error, I have to reboot the E620 datacard to connect again, which usually means rebooting the PC. Of course, MTN says its a PC problem. Help....I'm suicidal.

I have a similar problem when using EDGE on my 6110 Navi connected as modem (irrespective of using BT or USB). The connection works fine for a while - sometimes up to an hour, but usually ~30min. Then I get a error on my PC. The PC refuses to disconnect the modem - can't reconnect or anything. I have to reset before Ican connect again!!

Interesting that you are experiencing something similar using a modem....Please elaborate.

Its not a modem, its the E620 Huawei datacard plugged into a PCMCIA card into my Desktop. I reported it yesterday, and I couldn't connect at all today, naturally the help desk said its due to the server being worked on(Haha). I rebooted, and I could connect. I have been messing around on various secure sites for 2 hours now, no problem, just sometimes I haveto refresh the page as the page download freezes. Maybe this is the problem, when I am connected to the secure Beatport.com music server, it resets when there's no response. And of course I then haveto restart the download from scratch as its a secure server, Grrrrrrrr.

Yep I have the disconnect problem all the time - can be 10 minutes into playing online (city of heroes / guild wars) or 1 hour... but it happens more regularly now
