Hello iBurst’ers,

I am hoping one of you kind souls can explain the following to me:-

1. Why my download speeds never get faster than 50kbps?
2. Why I cant stay connected to the Fourways (Indaba) tower for more than 5 minutes (when my signal strength is between -65 & -72 on utTraceStar) without re-connecting to a tower in Auckland Park or Kyalami Castle (where my max connection is -105). Why would it want to connect to another tower when Fourways (Indaba) is so strong?

I have an antenna (from phoenix.net) and it is pointing directly to the Fourways (Indaba) tower.

utTraceStar tells me the tower loading is between 2-3.

When I connect to the Umhlanga Ridge tower in dbn my strength is around -89 but I can download around 100kbps mark (and the tower loading is 2).

I would be much appreciative of any help.

Thanks,
Shaun
