I wonder if someone can help me with regards to connecting all my devices.
I have a PVR decoder. I want to connect my decoder, apple tv and tv to my sound system.
I have 2 HDMI ports on my tv

you can get an HDM adapter.

I have 2 HDMI port on my tv and have the following
* Port 1: Ps3
* Port 2: HDMI Adapter with
^ Roku 3
^ MX3
^ Not in use

And for the sound i connected my home theatre via the audio outputs. So i have the option of getting my sound from the tv and the home theatre

I assume you have an amp with HDMI in/out ? It's easy enough in that case. Just plug your PVR and ATV into your receiver via HDMI and use the HDMI OUT on your receiver to go into one of the ports on your TV. Your amp will act as the HDMI switcher and you will get Audio and Video pass through over HDMI. It's important to note that your Amp will have to be switched on every time you want to watch either or.

I have similar and found the easiest for me was plug everything into the TV and then the TV luckily has a optical out which I plug to the Amp. If you not to concerned about surround sound then you can use RCA to get sound to the amp.

Originally had everything running through the amp but found it a pain in the ass, the Family just did not understand. The DSTV PVR was also a pain trying to get it to work automatically with the surround sound. You end up grabbing three remotes every time you want to turn anything on.

Now it is easy, watch TV with only the TV on if you want surround sound turn on HIFI and select surround sound on DSTV. Watch Netflix on PS3 if you want surround sound turn on HIFI.
