How good is connectivity in general in Clarens?

Reason I ask is that I'm planning to spend a few days there in early January, and I need to be able to work from home. So, will mobile data be good enough for working from home, or will I need to make sure that the place I rent has Wifi?

And, if it does have Wifi, what sort of speeds could I expect? I mean, is there fibre in Clarens?

Hi,

I was recently in Clarens and the place I lived at (https://www.booking.com/hotel/za/golden-view-luxury-self-catering.en-gb.html) had 10mb ADSL, which was quite decent. I highly doubt there is any fibre in Clarens whatsoever, so the best you'll get is going to be ADSL. With mobile connectivity is to check the different (or your service provider's) coverage map to see what connection speeds will be available (3G/LTE) etc.

I stayed in Clarens for two years (2017-2018). No fiber, only ADSL up to 10Mbps. Most places have WiFi. Cellphone coverage is okay, no telkom or cell c towers though - you have to roam on MTN or Vodacom. Also no Rain. Haven't been back yet but I assume it's still the same.
