Hi

Is there anyone else having connectivity issues today?

Anyone know what the actual cause is.

I have heard 2 different roumours now.

One from my ISP that it is on Telkom's side and then there is another story that it is SAIX that is down

But we do not go through SAIX we go through IS

SO I am looking for the actual truth here

if you are having problems please list who your backbone provider is so that we can see if it is a general error or if it is one of the backbone providers here in south africa

Guys I also seriously need help. I host a site www.tolken.co.za/twincamforum in the US and we recently did a DNS update, after which we just had major problems. I can tracert fine to the server and ping it with the correct new IP back, but can't open the site. In fact no-one can open the site it seems from SA.

Just getting a 504 gateway error all the time.

How do we get Telkom to update their DNS servers so that it's all hunky dory again? Or is it a problem on the hosting server?

Cheers
D.

PS- The hosting guys can see the site just fine and I can also see it browsing through a proxy surfing site.

Mmm, do you have a set DNS on your router, or 'Get Automatically from ISP'?

I can see it through a proxy site yes, aarrrrhggg!! How do I find out who's responsible? It seems that certain users on ADSL and various other ISP's can't see the site, it must be one or two buggy DNS servers somewhere I reckon...

yeah well find out what ISP they are going through and maybe contact your hosting company and find out if there is any issues on there side

No issues on hosting company side, they can see the site and I can see it through a proxy site. How do I get hold of anyone at Telkom that can help with a routing issue?
