I didn't know exactly where to post this because I'm not sure what's causing the problem with my connection.
I have a Telkom ADSL Fast line with Cybersmart and OpenWeb accounts running off my PC via Route Sentry. In addition, my job has several other computers that connect with their own router via a Datapro ISP account to the main servers in Gauteng. Both of us are using the same wall socket, so my employers get the line during the weekdays so they can access one of their PCs, while during the nights and weekends I use the line.
Last weekend I've started having my connections suddenly freeze up, rendering me unable to go online. I couldn't disconnect them from the tray not shut down route sentry. Shutting down the PC would force me to press "End Now" on both route sentry and the connectivity tray, but then my PC wouldn't shut down, requiring me to press reset. This had been going on the whole week, but yesterday it got worse. Now I can't connect to my Cybersmart account, not running route sentry at all gives me a very spotty connection. I've tried resetting the connections and even uninstalling/reinstalling the Ethernet card, but it doesn't help.
Is this a problem with my PC, a conflict between my PC and the work's PCs or is this an outside problem with Telkom/Cybersmart/etc? Any advice/aid would be appreciated.
