Connects and Disconnects

i have this little annoying problem, for the last few weeks my ADSL has been disconnecting and then reconnecting, this happen all day. Ill be on for a hour and then it disconnects, wait 5 minutes then it will reconnect two minutes later it will disconnect again it’s the most annoying thing ever, cos when it disconnects I have no idea how long it will take before it will reconnect, it could be two minutes or the whole day. Does any one have any idea what the problem could be, or has any 1 ever experienced too

are you on a 4mb line ?

This happened to me when I was upgraded to 4mb. I asked telkom to put me on the 2mb profile, which fixed all my reconnecting problems.

I've been having this problem on my 4mb line for the last 7 days.In addition to this my speed has dropped to approx 240kbs.My landline on the same line is also down.Telkom techs say 2 weeks to have a look at the problem!!Any suggestions?
