As the title says
we are considering moving to Neotell
we are looking at the 4meg uncapped LTE

is this a wise move
on the Neotell map it say we will have coverage
however Neotell say they will come out and test

know this is the neotell section, however need to know if people using Neotell are happy with their LTE connection

Thanx for the reply
Sad
as this leaves me stuck with telkom

Apply as an SMME not a consumer. Yes, it will cost you more but is well worth it with access to a dedicated Neotel account manager. For example, 2MB Microwave link for R1600 a month (24 month contract). Uncapped (with a very clear FUP) and completely unshaped. You might have to add 12 SIP channels at R500 pm, it just depends on the feasibility outcome of where you are.

Get Neotel LTE, you won't be sorry. But only if you need rocksolid steady 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or even 10 mbps throughput. If you want 50 to 150 Mbps for 3 ms, then go for the mobile operators. 1 mbps is enough for netflix, but you do need to have something in reserve for the other half and kids to use the net as well. 2 mbps or if you want to spoil yourselves this xmas, get the 4. Neotel dropped my other services from r799 to r599 to r229 within two years and upped the cap from 10 to 15 gigs. All on 24 months contract. Yeh, everybody doesn't like 24 months stuff, but Neotel have brought their side to the table. Same with lte, the've upped by speed from 2 to 4 within the first year, wouldn't it be nice te get a xmas present next year going from 4 to 8 for the same price? Don't need the speed or uncapped, then go up to 45 max gigs per month, i think, but 25 gigs is more than enough, unless you've cancelled your dstv for netflix and hulu. Good luck. Just watch for those OOB's.

Yep, we have enough canceled dstv
And we are looking at the LTE 4meg

Sadly can only do the move in January, as it looks like neotell won't be available for installation after 12 December

Tired of the telkom issues

Good day
I am also thinking of moving from Telkom 4meg (Afrihost Uncapped) to a Neobroadband 4meg wireless. Thanks to you guys for all the info above but I have one or two more questions:
1. How is Neobroadband 4meg for online gaming (Speed and Latency)?
2. Is this product good for Youtube video streaming?

I'm a bit nervous as I will have to cancel my Telkom line and Afrihost to sign a 2 year contract on a system that I've had no experience on.
Just thinking of how long it will be to get Telkom reinstated gives me a headache. Ha Ha Just thinking of talking to Telkom gives me a headache.;-)

Your urgent feedback will be highly appreciated.

I would never, ever sign a contract - especially with Neotel for 24 months. You will be in a buttload of hurt and will regret it as broadband costs will tumble. Also remember the Vodacom/Neotel merger which will reshuffle some offers. Also remember that consumer products are best effort and you have no SLA's and will be stuck with a contract if their service drops over time.
