Fellow forumites, please help me out here.
I am considering taking out a new contract, which would be used to run a little business from home which would see quite a bit of calls being made during office hours.
Calls will mostly be made to cellphones (no specific network, lets assume its spread 40% to MTN, 40% to VC and 20% to CellC), between 9am and 5pm.
I do not see any need for add-on data bundles, as the business is operated from home, where internet access is via iBurst.
A Telkom package would have been preferred, but there is no spare line capacity in my area, and Telkom is unsure when rollout is going to take place (if it ever will...)
Preference would be given to VC & CellC. MTN refuses to migrate an existing package upwards, as it is apparently part of a "promo" deal, which according to their "system", cannot be upgraded to a more appropriate package (it is curently a MTN200). I would however consider MTN only if it offers a significantly better deal than the other 2 providers. Apart from this lack in flexibility (and screwed-up statements (not invoices & debit orders)) MTN has been oka'ish in the past. And Pitbull is a helpful chap
Billing efficiency will count a lot towards my decision, hence part of my reason posting the question here.
The compliment ratios of MTN, VC and CellC on hellopeter.com is 12%, 16% and 16% respectively, so MTN lags a little behind the other two. But hellopeter results can also be manipulated and viewed in so many ways...
If this is like asking on Wheels24.com which is better, BMW or Merc, then forgive me
But I have found this forum so valuable in the past that I am morally compelled to ask its opinion before venturing into any new purchase that is communication-related.
Thanks for the replies!
Rudi
