So I go shopping again for HDMI cable...the punk @ HIFI corporation tells me a story of how the cable tends to burn out on a PS3 and leads me to a "Monster" cable.....which is 1.5k:wtf: So I dont know if is just salesman talk but I think he was trying to make a quick sale.

BS he was just tying to get higgher comm from the sale just for fun report him to the manager at hifi corp, for misleading customers.
I got a TEAC 1.5m gold plated oxygen free hdmi cable from Game for R120. Also got a really cool TEAC 2m gold plated 3 way RCA cable for R60.
Some Hi Fi Corruption sales people are morons.
Get an Ellies HDMI cable. They are really good and cheap. And I think the best from the big brands is a Belkin HDMI cable. I know Incredible Connection sells them and they come with a lifetime warranty. I bought a Belkin HDMI-DVI cable from them for R400.

I paid R120 for my cable. If your tv is not more than 50m from the tv, it doesn't make much difference which you buy. Tomshardware actually done a test on signal quality and there wasn't really much except for price.
The latter one contains R900 worth of snake oil.
Finally bought one(HDMI cable) for 300 bucks....immediately noticed the difference on the home screen. Games look great too. What is cool I no longer need to purchase a PS3 remote....the control for HDMI enables my Sony TV to control the PS3. Works great
