Considering moving from a Note 2 to something different

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at possibly moving to a new phone within the next few weeks. I'm looking at the following:

LG G2
LG Nexus 5
Huawei P6
Samsung Galaxy S4
Nokia Lumia 925
Nokia Lumia 920

I'm coming from a Note 2 which I really love. Just feel that maybe its time for a change. I will be either selling or swapping for one of the above. Max I will put in I guess will be about R1k (which probably rules out both LGs) but would much rather not paying a cent in either a straight swap or sell and buy at same value.

I use my phone for the following:

Camera - Average about 100 photos a month (Not many low light but sometimes)
Whatsapp - Constantly
BBM - Can live without it (WP doesn't have, shouldn't be an issue)
Web browsing
Instagram
Snapseed - Can probably live without that too as I have a Nexus 7


Recommendations?? Stay with the Note 2 or change??
 
That's quite a big range of options.

Why not a Z1?
 
Aparently the S5 will be released end Feb. Either get it or or the drop in price of the S4 once it is released
 
Had a Z, hated it... Used a mate's Z1, was less impressed (felt camera colours were better but sharpness not so much, heavier and thicker too)... Alcatel is very difficult to get so I'll probably skip that one...

Gotta admit, I love the Note 2 but I just can't seem to keep a phone for too long:(

I'm quite interested in maybe trying WP before an upgrade in August... So this phone SHOULD last until then without being changed (that's what I said about the Note 2 as well though...)

If WP suits my needs, I may go for a 1520 but don't want to put in that amount of money and risk not liking it...
 
Take the S4 off the list as it would be near identical to the Note 2, minus the hardware touchwiz is touchwiz...
 
Moved from a Note 2 to a Xperia Z myself. I truly believe it's the worst mistake I made in my entire life. I personally would go with the G2...or wait for the S4 or Note 3.
 
Hmmm... Given your price range, I would believe that you could get an S4 for your budget. It would be an upgrade in all respects except size. The screen is worlds better than the Note 2 (speaking from personal experience). You will miss the size, however.
 
Your budget will probably be the deciding factor.
 
Keep the note 2. Root it. Put Cyanogenmod or something on. I have the note 3 and once you get over the gimmicks, there is not much between the 2 and 3.

Did that.
Only issue is the Note2's camera and Cyanogenmod doesn't play nice.
 
Well I'm running DN3 on it at the moment... I like touchwiz actually... I've stopped using the phone for a bit and trying out the S3 a mate has just to see what I feel about the size... So far I'm happy :) It's not a permanent swap, just for a few days. I'm thinking of giving WP a go
