Constant switching EDGE/WCDMA/Roaming

Please help I have a E1752 modem, I have been using the modem on Edge (Edge only available)for the past couple of months, from around 10:00 last night the modem started dropping the internet connection, after 10:30 I was not able to connect at all anymore. I then noticed the modem registers on the Edge Voda Cell C Roaming network, when I attempt to connect the connection is terminated by the remote computer. A while later the Edge Voda network is replaced with a Cell C Edge network for a couple of seconds and then switches to a Cell C WCDMA network. When briefly connected to the Cell C WCDMA net work the modem flashes blue for exactly 5 times and reverts back to green after this, this is followed by no networks being detected for around 1 minute and then goes through Edge Voda registration for 20 seconds - Edge Cell C registration for 5 seconds and WCDMA registration for 5 seconds and finally no coms for around 1 minute. This cycle was repeated throughout the night and is still the same this morning.

Please up your location in your MyBB profile (click on My Profile in the blue band in the top-right corner of the page, then click on the pencil icon next to Location).
Try forcing your connection to WCDMA/3G Only and EDGE Only and see which is better.
When trying EDGE Only also try using manual operator selection and choosing the Cell-C and Vodacom networks.

Hi Ginggs, I have set the modem to GSM only and I am running Edge again, I also tried WCDMA on the Cell C and Voda network and nothing happens. Thanks for your help
