Hello guys, I'm looking for construction admin templates. Just started a construction business. I have no clue what's going with the administrative side of the business. Please help

I somehow feel like this is not going to end well.

You get what you pay for being in the construction industry I think you can understand that.

I think it might be best to ask for professionals that could perhaps assist you get your admin in order...

I'd say go for something like Sage One (https://www.sage.com/en-za/sage-business-cloud/accounting/) or Xero (https://www.xero.com/za/). This is one place where you don't want to skimp else it's going to be an admin nightmare. I like Xero's app and how it connects to your bank account so you can easily recon transactions etc.

I've used Sage and Xero in the past but have moved on to Zoho now. Same functionality at a fraction of the price for what I use it for.

Also checkout Zoho. Has various applications from Books to Project Management. Can do Reports and Invoicing and I think even Payroll.

I regret getting Sage.

I am in the construction business to some extent and advise that you get rates for dedicated and experienced accounting type people to do your admin (or a wife etc). My experience is that you simply do not have the time to be on site and do admin (unless you have partners etc). Quoting is another drain but necessary evil unless you have a source of work - insurance or similar. Most important is to work for entities who will pay you as construction is mostly a business of margins on plant, labour and materials, not so much professional time. Non payment + VAT is a quick killer.
