Hi there

I'm busy making a website for a client and I can't seem to get the contact form to work.
The site is based on Wordpress with a custom theme and I'm using the plugin "Contact Form 7" as the contact form.
The website is hosted with Mweb. To protect the email addresses I'm going to using fake emails.

Lets say the website's domain is www.mywebsite.co.za
I have a main email, "[email protected]" and an alias "[email protected]".

I have tested the email and I can send emails form my email address to both email addresses.
What is can't seem to get working is to get the contact form to send an email to "[email protected]". When I configure it so send it to an email address out of the "mywebsite.co.za" domain it works, example "[email protected]".
But when I configure it to send an email to "[email protected]" or "[email protected]" , the emails don't go through.

Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks

how is Contact Form 7 configured? can you configure it to use a specific email server?

sounds like the "mywebsite.co.za" is blocking it as spam messages due to strict rules, whereas gmail doesn't cause it knows better.

if you could authenticate to a mail server and then send it, rather than rely on localhost (turning your web server into it's own little adhoc mail server) then the mail should go through no worries.
