Contact Hassles

Hey guys

I'm trying to set up my contacts on my new SGS2. But for some reason it's not playing ball. Basically I want the contacts I have, to sync up with Facebook, Whatsapp etc, but without pulling the hundreds of contacts from them.

Is there any way to do this? I'm not keen on having almost 1k contacts, and even then, they only show up in the contacts list, not whatsapp.

If you go into your contacts settings, you should be able to choose which contacts you want to display (eg. Google, Google+, Facebook, and so on) and leave out the others.

Vulk I have done a hard reset, trying it again.. Hopefully that'll fix the whatsapp issues.

Sadly not updating the pics from Facebook. First day on Android and not a happy camper - hopefully I'm the dumbass that's doing something wrong!

You may need to join contacts with their facebook contact manually if the names/surnames differ. Also the facebook pics only show up in contacts and sms apps, not whatsapp, viber etc. To overcome this use friendcaster and not the official facebook app (It's a POS). There is also a setting in contacts to show contacts with phone numbers only, gets rid of all the clutter
