Hey

I sorted out all my contact information (ie. Put multiple numbers and e-mail addresses under a single name as opposed to having multiple names of the same person) about 2 days ago. I didn't back it up, sync with my desktop or switch the phone off since then. All of a sudden my contact information has reverted back to the way it was before I sorted it out. Everything was fine for the last two days until now. Any idea why this would happen or if I can solve this?

I have the bold 9700.

Although almost all things are possible, it's virtually impossible for all the contacts to go into reverse and change back without some kind of human interference. Backup, sort your contacts out again and then backup again afterwards. backup every time you're about to sync and again afterwards.

Your contact list might be synced with another contact list like GMail or Windows Live - that has happened to me before. The route I folllowed was to use the Windows contacts and ensured all is OK there - then I deleted all my contact lists that were residing elsewhere, incl on my BB and then uploaded and synced all. Fine since then.

Thanks for the replies.

So I sorted out my contacts again (And backed it up this time). But the weird thing is that after a couple of hours it reverted again. Luckily I had it backed up so I just restored it. My list is synced with my gmail account but that's been disabled for some time now. So not sure why it's happening. Must be a setting somewhere that I haven't seen.
