I have just now spoken to Kaunda Chama at Itweb.co.za. You can mail him at [email protected] with your complaint, a description of what happened and possibly telephone numbers so that he may contact/interview you.

Try to explain the situation clearly. e.g. you're not getting what you paid for, and that you've been disconnected without prior warning, and that the problem is in fact iBurst's.

Oh how I would love to cancel - and not for being a poweruser and being connnected - I have no hope in hell of downloading anything at the speeds I'm getting. But........No ADSL available and not on the Roll Out plan for the near future according to Telkom (estimate is 3 years) and need to be permanently connected so ISDN is too costly. Sentech, no coverage and they're no good anyway. 3G? 1 gig is not enough and therefore too expensive and 24 months contract required.

So I cry and wait for now. But for your statistics: If I could, I would! cancel that is

are you saying that your problem was not fixed when the "power users" were removed? because that suggests to me that this power user thing is smoke and mirrors and maybe they're using it as a diversion

During the Sentech saga, they also claimed that a small percentage of users on their "baddie list" was making the service unusable for everyone.

The fact is, that after Sentech finally got their bandwidth management right, the abuse problems went away. You're dead right. It is simple smoke and mirrors tactics, and I can guarantee that when itWeb phones iBurst for their side of the story, that is what they are going to complain.

They'll never admit their incompetence.

I am with you ...

I am sitting in the same boat here ... with the one exception that I can't even get a normal phone line OR ISDN. So iBurst it has to be for now.

I am with you guys on this, if not in action, then definitely in mind!

also, someone phone 5fm, and tell them theyre doing illegal false advertising ;)
