Continual call dropping and discoonects

I wonder if anyone here has had success dealing with the CellC network quality.

I am used the very poor data quality, an Afrihost MiFi deals with that but the call quality is now getting beyond bad. I am constantly getting missed calls where the phone never rang, clients complain that they just hear 3 beeps and then nothing. I cannot talk on the phone in my office, I have to wander around so i can hear what is going on.

It there a resolution that can be reached, I'm halfway through a 24 month contract but cannot carry on this way.

I have heard of signal boosters, anyone using one? What are my options?
 
Only success I ever had was with data. I changed my Red Bull Mobile APN to the Cell C APN. Then forced my phone to use 2100mhz instead of their crappy 900mhz. Saw a big improvement in latency and speed. As for the calls, they are just painful. It is probably quicker to drive to the person and tell them yourself.
 
Had the same problem ,after almost ten years with them,could not take a call in my house.Think it was because I could not connect to the vodacom tower closest to me.
Tried all possible settings to no avail,except the booster(the cellc rep actually advised against it.)They sent a technician to my house and tested the signal.Signal was too weak and they gave me the option to cancel my 20odd month contract with no penalties and I accepted.

For the record,that was in June,when they promised December we will see a new tower in my area........I will be cancelling my other contract when it finishes in February.
 
I am in the same boat as you! dropped calls, no data etc

Ive sent numerous messages to Cell C rep, ive logged calls with network department and still no resolution -

What did solve my issue was buying a Voda prepaid sim :)
