Contract Change

In December i Upgrade my phone from a bb to a samsung S3, at the same time my contract had to be upgraded from a Talk 135 to a Smart Standard 229. This all changed on 1 Jan. Now I had R700+ of airtime and 120mb of a data bundle that just has gone... :(

Want to know, is this normal, is this legal?
 
I assume you mean Top Up 135 as we do not have a Talk 135. Top Up airtime cannot be carried over to a contract package that is not also a Top Up contract as normal contracts like the Smart 229 works with inclusive minutes value, not a Rand value. It is normal...but should have been explained to you.
